🔒 The short version: Your health data belongs to you. Personal identifying information is stripped from lab reports before storage. Only anonymized health values are ever sent to our AI provider — never your name, date of birth, or contact information. We don't sell your data. Ever.

1. What We Collect

Longview collects only the data you choose to provide:

Account information — your name and email address (used only for authentication and communication)
Health data you manually enter — blood pressure, sleep, nutrition, weight, and other metrics
Health data synced from connected devices — Oura Ring, Apple Health, Garmin (only with your explicit authorization)
Supplement and medication information you choose to log
Lab results you upload — personal identifying information (name, DOB, physician, facility) is stripped from lab PDFs on your device before any data is stored or transmitted

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Longview service to you — to display your health trends, generate insights, and produce appointment summaries. We do not use your health data for any other purpose.

When you use the AI assistant, only the specific health fields you have marked "Share with AI" are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic). Before transmission:

Your name, date of birth, physician name, and other personal identifiers are removed
Only anonymized health values (numbers, dates, units) are transmitted
Your original lab PDFs are never uploaded — they stay on your device
AI interactions are not stored or used to train AI models

3. Data Storage and Security

Your health data is stored on secure servers protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and authentication controls. Your data is isolated to your account — other users cannot access your data.

Lab results are stored as anonymized numerical values only — personal identifying information from lab reports is removed before storage.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health data with any third parties for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose.

We do not display advertisements. We do not allow advertisers to target you based on your health data.

We may share data only if required by law or legal process, and only to the minimum extent necessary.

5. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services (such as Oura Ring), you authorize those services to share your data with Longview. Your relationship with those services is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all data we hold about you (use the Backup export feature)
Delete your account and all associated data at any time (Settings → Account → Delete Account)
Disconnect any integrated device at any time
Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated health data is permanently deleted from our servers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
